1. The first meeting of the Republic of Korea-Cambodia joint economic committee will take place at the ROK Foreign Ministry on June 28. The ROK and Cambodian delegations to the meeting will be led by Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Affairs Lee Tae-ho and Sok Chenda Sophea, Secretary-General of Cambodia’s Council for the Development and Minister attached to the Prime Minister, and composed of officials from relevant government agencies, respectively.

2. The two sides will review the progress in the bilateral economic cooperation that has grown rapidly since the resumption of diplomatic relations in 1997 and discuss ways to work together in a mutually beneficial manner in a wide range of fields, including trade, investment and development, as well as on the regional and multilateral levels.

3. On June 29, the Cambodian delegation, including Secretary-General Sok Chenda Sophea, will attend a seminar on investment in Cambodia’s agricultural sector and its business environment, which will be co-hosted by the ASEAN-Korea Centre and the Council for the Development of Cambodia.
