1. The 39th session of the World Heritage Committee will take place in Bonn, Germany, from June 28 through July 8.
◦ The 21-member inter-governmental committee convenes on an annual basis to discuss whether to inscribe candidate properties on the World Heritage List.
2. The government will dispatch to the meeting a delegation co-led by Second Vice Minister Cho Tae-yul of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Administrator Rha Sun-hwa of the Cultural Heritage Administration and comprised of officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Cultural Heritage Administration, government agencies of such provinces as Jeollabuk-do and Chungcheongnam-do, and relevant civilian experts.
3. At the forthcoming WHC meeting, final decisions will be made as to whether a total of 38 properties, including the Baekje Historic Areas of the Republic of Korea and the Meiji industrial sites of Japan, will be inscribed on the World Heritage List.
