1. Special Representative for Korean Peninsula Peace and Security Affairs Hwang Joon-kook will visit Beijing, China, on May 28 and 29 for a Republic of Korea-China meeting of head delegates to the Six-Party Talks.

2. In the ROK-China consultation, the two sides, by drawing upon the results of the ROK-US foreign ministers’ meeting on May 18 and the upcoming ROK-US-Japan consultation of head delegates to the Six-Party Talks, will share their assessments on the current situation on the Korean Peninsula. In addition, they will discuss in depth ways to deter provocations from North Korea and make tangible progress on the North Korean nuclear issue, including resuming denuclearization talks.
