1. The 12th ROK-Russia Policy Planning Talks will be held in Seoul on July 19, with Lee Sang-hyun, Director-General for Policy Planning of MOFAT, and Alexander Tokovinin, Director of the Foreign Policy Planning Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, as the heads of their respective delegations.

2. The ROK-Russia Policy Planning Talks, first held in 1995, had taken place eleven times until 2010. The upcoming meeting will discuss foreign policies of the two countries, and situations on the Korean Peninsula, in Northeast Asia, in Central Asia and in Europe.

3. The Foreign Ministry has held policy planning talks with major countries to strengthen international cooperation in foreign policy planning and global situation analysis. In 2012, the Foreign Ministry had policy planning talks with Indonesia in February, with China in March, and with France, the UK and Spain in July.
