1. The conference for 1:1 consultations between heads of diplomatic missions and corporate
representatives, which was held on February 10, was successfully held with the participation
of 106 heads of diplomatic missions and 245 corporate representatives that held a total of
629 consultations.
o This was the second conference, following the conference in 2008, and was held to support
not only the major corporations hoping to expand their entry into foreign markets, but also
the small- and medium-sized enterprises under difficulties due to lack of foreign networks
2. According to the survey conducted on the corporate representatives who participated in
the conference (taken at midday, 137 cases), the consultations were mainly on the field of
trade and construction, and the representatives were most interested in gaining information
on foreign markets and receiving support on transactions and contracts with foreign enterprises.
o Of the corporate representatives that took the survey, 90.9% were satisfied with their
consultations and 96.4% answered that they would participate again should the
conference be held next year.
o Furthermore, 93.7% said that they will prepare entry into their target market based on
the outcomes of the consultations at the conference
3. In order to ensure that this conference brings specific outcomes, the MOFAT will give each
consultation a number and continue administering the progress of the consultations. Furthermore,
in consideration of the great interest expressed by the corporations, the MOFAT will continue
to develop the conference and hold it annually on the sideline of the Meeting of Heads of
Diplomatic Missions.
