1. The government of the Republic of Korea (ROK) welcomes and supports the “Democratic Transition Framework for Venezuela” proposed by the United States government on March 31, 2020, in order to resolve the crisis in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

2. The ROK government hopes that free and fair Presidential and National Assembly elections will be carried out in Venezuela based on the proposal, and that such elections will lead to stability and democracy in the country as soon as possible.

3. The ROK government plans to continue to pay full attention to the humanitarian crisis facing the people of Venezuela and to take an active part in the joint efforts of the international community.
